Last week, members of the Cyrus Ross European Group of Law Firms EEIG network gathered in Brussels for several days of meetings, discussions and shared experiences with colleagues and partners from different jurisdictions.

Representing Ana Bruno & Associados were Sónia Reis, Partner in Tax and Catarina Bárbara, Associate Lawyer in Immigration and Nationality, who joined fellow members of the network for a programme focused on international cooperation, client service and the continued development of the group.

The programme combined strategic discussions with practical working sessions, allowing members to exchange perspectives on recent legal and market developments, discuss common challenges faced by clients operating across borders and explore new opportunities for collaboration between independent law firms.

Alongside the formal agenda, the meeting also included visits to several European institutions and cultural landmarks in Brussels, including the Belgian Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA), the Parlamentarium and the House of European History. The social programme, with dinners and informal gatherings across the city, provided valuable opportunities to strengthen relationships and reinforce the collaborative spirit of the network outside the meeting room.

These regular in-person meetings continue to play an important role in strengthening trust, responsiveness and effective cross-border cooperation across the Cyrus Ross network.
